In the centre of the picturesque village of Blarney just 8 kilometres from Cork City in southwest Ireland sits Blarney Castle & Gardens. Home to the world-famous Blarney Stone which is positioned atop of Blarney Castle and bestows the gift of eloquence upon all who kiss it.
Blarney Castle is the third structure to have been erected on this site with the first dating back to the 10th century. The current structure built in 1446 still stands today with all the rooms still accessible and open to exploring.
Surrounding the Castle are our 75 acres of formal and informal gardens. Our gardens are both impressive and evolving with The Poison Garden, Rock Close and Fern Garden being the firm favourites with our visitors. Among these amazing gardens are a vast array of walks and trails with some being up to 5 kilometres long.
